What You’ll be Doing Each Day:

  • Manage a portfolio of Business & Commercial Banking customers
  • Focus on business development- within both the existing portfolio and “new to bank” business.
  • Actively support marketing activities as instructed by the bank
  • Proactively network with local professionals

Your Core Responsibilities :

  • Implement Business & Commercial Banking strategy and fulfil all targets set out by the Bank
  • Focus on clients’ need to provide a solution for clients, e.g. Trade finance solution, short term loan, and mortgage loan.
  • Prepare Credit Facility with client background and financial analysis.
  • Follow up clients’ transactions monitoring, especially high volume transactions.
  • Expand the business by New-to-bank clients. And process the whole process of a/c opening to comply all the update regulation.
  • Maintain and perform annual review for existing customer according with Financial Crime & Compliance Department’s requirements
  • Develop new business opportunities within the existing client base and “new to bank” customers within defined selection criteria
  • Act as primary point of contact for the customers and maintain customer relationship.
  • Conduct annual/interim renewal of facilities as required by the Bank’s policies
  • Prepare Credit Facility proposals and follow up credit approval process including relevant credit facility documentations preparation
  • Carry out post-lending management as required by the Bank and work with members of other departments by producing statistics, initial analysis, reviewing credit lines and various tasks associated with bank lending.
  • Coordinate among branch, back office, product, and other departments in regarding to customer’s enquires and any cross-selling opportunities
  • Support and participate in marketing activities to promote the Bank in the target local Business and Commercial Banking markets
  • Cross selling of products including all retail banking products
  • Establish and develop efficient professional network with local professionals
  • Carry out the clients on-boarding process, and to conduct AML checks on new clients according to Financial Crime & Compliance Department’s requirements
  • Complete Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new clients within the time frame, and is responsible for the quality of CDD conducted.
  • Provide clerical support duties, such as filing, data input, cash handling and ad hoc projects
  • Assisting with the preparation of Statistical, anti-money laundering, Internal Audit Requirement/Compliance Requirements reports
  • Prepare regular business reports to supervisor.

The Skills You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Graduates with proven banking experience in managing and developing a portfolio of corporate customers.
  • Experience in Business and Commercial Banking with sound knowledge of trade finance products such as LC Discounting
  • Direct experience in business with China is considered essential
  • Good understanding of financial accounts, debt capacity, and cash flow with an ability to build basic models and to sensitize
  • Ability to analyze accurately sector trends, market information, management quality, and company status to make informal decision and put it into credit facility business proposal
  • Good Standard of Written Chinese and English
  • Good awareness and understanding of current Compliance Regulatory requirements

Job status: Perm

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: 9-5 with flexibility when necessary, hybrid.
