Your New Mandarin Job Title: Mandarin speaking Banking Finance Analyst, London

The Skills You’ll Need: Fluent Mandarin and English, finance analysis and asset liability management experience preferably in a banking environment.

What You’ll be Doing Each Day:

Liquidity Risk Management:

• Daily monitoring and reporting of the branch’s liquidity position and cash flow forecast, ensuring on-going compliance with risk appetite
• Provide suggestions on actions to increase/decrease liquidity headroom
• Support efficient liquidity controls within treasury
• Analysis and calculation of key liquidity ratios (LCR, Liquidity Ratio and NSFR)
• Preparation and development of liquidity stress tests
• Prepare liquidity related reports to head office
• Support in the development of liquidity systems and projects
• Assist in reviewing and developing liquidity policies and the contingency funding plan

FTP Management and Development:

• Assist in the monitoring of FTP quotations
• Support FTP efficiency within front desk
• Assist in reviewing and developing the FTP policy

Other Asset Liability Management:

• Assist in the asset and liability portfolio review
• Enhance and develop business analysis and forecasting, including budget management

Other:

• Assist in regular reports to HO ALM and IBMD on monthly/quarterly/annual basis;
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly/semi-annual/annual CBRC reports to Head Office
• Assist in branch interest rate risk management
• Assist in branch foreign exchange risk management
• Support collating of business statistics figures for internal management reports and regulatory reporting purpose
• Assist in liaising with HO ALM and IBMD for ALM function requirements;
• Actively participate in system development to enhance the function and ability of data analysis including HO ALM related projects / system development
• In addition to these duties, the Employee may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties within his/her capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the bank’s business
• Ad hoc requirements

The Skills You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is a must
• Experience in the finance industry, ideally in Treasury, ALM or Risk
• Ideally with experience / understanding in at least one of liquidity (risk or reporting), FTP, balance sheet management, stress testing, ALM
• Finance related degree
• Strong Excel skills (VBA is a plus)
• Interested in working at a growing bank
• Takes responsibility and needs limited oversight to accomplish projects, a self-starter
• Strong communications skills for dealing with key internal stakeholders at a senior level
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver practical solutions
