I am partnered with a CRO offering a platform to NHS doctors wanting to transition to the pharmaceutical industry. With a range of clinical trials and therapeutic areas to work on as a Screening Physician in London, you can grow your skillset and become extremely attractive to large pharma after a year or so, or develop internally into senior positions before making the transition.

  • Work across a range of clinical trials involving both healthy and patient volunteers
  • Screen volunteers and patients for First in Human clinical trials across a range of therapeutic areas and phases of development
  • Be a medical monitor on-site, reporting of any cardiovascular effects of drugs being trialled
  • Contribute to original research, developing a skill set that includes protocol development and data analysis and reporting
  • Present at national and international meetings, allowing you to build your research toolkit
  • Join a close-knit team, headed by the Medical Director who is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and of the Royal College of Anaesthetists
  • Contribute to publications, quality and process improvements and become involved in teaching

  • Flexible approach to training and development of all physicians, accounting for each doctor’s skill set and longer-term plans
  • Specific clinical training for this role in conjunction with management and leadership training
  • The opportunity to register with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and complete PMST funded by the client
  • Beyond PMST there are opportunities to obtain post graduate qualifications including an MSc and a PhD in clinical pharmacology
  • Be based in central London, in a state-of-the-art facility, at a clinical site that has been synonymous with cutting edge clinical research for over 30 years


  • MD/MBBS/MB ChB obtained within Europe
  • GMC registered
  • FY1 & FY2 completed
  • At least 12 months additional experience in the NHS after completing FY2
  • Motivation and passion to transition into the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to relocate or commute (at own expense) into London, full-time
