Job description: We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to lead and develop our newly formed brand and campaigns team.

Working as part of the University’s central Marketing, Communications & Insight team, you’ll be the principal lead overseeing the University’s comprehensive brand strategy and overarching brand campaigns. By developing and embedding our brand strategy, you’ll work with others to ensure we understand how our brand resonates with our audiences, inform how we develop our future brand and help us to achieve a consistently articulated competitive position. You’ll work closely with the Market Research and Insight team, developing and improving results in line with new branding tracking KPIs. As well as overseeing the tendering and relationship management of our external agencies, you’ll develop our brand identity, brand assets, guidelines and toolkits.

Alongside managing the brand strategy, you’ll also lead the strategic campaigns team, designing and delivering ‘above the line’ and ‘below the line’ brand campaigns. You’ll hold responsibility for the overall annual campaigns’ strategy and plan, working with different campaigns and different teams across the organisation throughout the year. Being an excellent communicator, you’ll ensure key stakeholders remain informed and engaged with campaign development, progress and evaluation.

We’re looking for a creative and innovative thinker who will inspire and lead our branding team. You’ll have previously worked in a fast-paced and complex organisation, managing and developing multi-faceted brands. With the ability to influence and engage, you’ll be able to build strong, respectful relationships with others. You’ll feel comfortable making difficult decisions where required and have a thorough understanding of the evolving marketing mix and media landscape.

Working under pressure, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines will be second nature to you and you’ll have excellent attention to detail.
